I don't want to get into one of those ongoing comment debates that I've had trouble with in the past, so while I love getting comments, I'm being cautious too.

I feel that your comment was not a response to mine as much as it was a sort of vague, unsupported argument in favor of feminism. I will not post another such comment. If you would like to discuss any issue here, please be concise, back it up with info, and tie it in to the topic being discussed. I do appreciate that you have been polite!

With that said, this site has some good articles on feminism: www.ladiesagainstfeminism.com
My beliefs are pretty much in line with what those ladies are saying. The Marchionesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04265467672287471648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3602229254029333228.post-14048977790265802432009-06-21T22:25:39.845-07:002009-06-21T22:25:39.845-07:00I don't know a single feminist who thinks husb...I don't know a single feminist who thinks husbands are worthless or children are unwanted.... most women i know who think of themselves as feminists, simply believe that women should have equal opportunity in jobs, in educational settings, and not be foreclosed from things due to gender...

also, feminism also has a lot to do w/ a woman being open and free-thinking...and not feeling the need to sit back and wait for men to protect her and take care of her. Also, when it comes to sexual relations - most feminists feel very openly about asking for and receiving what they want from men and not being ashamed of it. Most feminists, in fact, like men very much.K.https://www.blogger.com/profile/16902512762465926828noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3602229254029333228.post-64240991138834661062009-06-18T13:56:21.802-07:002009-06-18T13:56:21.802-07:00Neither men nor women in the colonial days had the...Neither men nor women in the colonial days had the level of comfort we do today, so why victimize only the women? Hard work, actually, is not bad.

So I resent the re-writing of history happening today that makes the early Americans(In this case, especially the women) look like ignorant, poverty-stricken, sufferers. Our country could not have become a free nation if we had been made up of such people. I have a profound respect for our founding fathers and mothers!

Well, I didn't mean to go on so much. It's a topic very much on my mind right now and I feel very strongly about it! I agree with Natty, too. Thanks for the comment, Natty! The Marchionesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04265467672287471648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3602229254029333228.post-77242451836372148412009-06-18T12:14:33.949-07:002009-06-18T12:14:33.949-07:00Yes, it is hard to find books that aren't deme...Yes, it is hard to find books that aren't demeaning to American Women. Having babies is one of the greatest things we can do as women! Besides the principles of feminism such as children are unwanted and husbands are worthless, which I totally disagree with. The Marchionesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04265467672287471648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3602229254029333228.post-439063641259122282009-06-16T22:03:10.545-07:002009-06-16T22:03:10.545-07:00they're not demeaning if you believe in femini...they're not demeaning if you believe in feminist ideas, actually.K.https://www.blogger.com/profile/16902512762465926828noreply@blogger.com
